Research HOCl
Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) is a naturally occurring chemical produced by white blood cells in our bodies, clinically shown to cleanse the skin and promote healing.
HOCl skin products have grown in popularity in recent years, but many use outdated manufacturing techniques to produce the active ingredient. These methods claim to produce HOCl through the electrolyzation of salt (Sodium chloride, NaCl) and water. This simple process is not producting HOCl, but is only producing an aqueous solution of sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl), commonly known as bleach.
- Electrolyzing salt water produces – Sodium hydroxide (NaOH), hydrogen (H2), chlorine (Cl2)
- Resulting in the dissociated Na+, OH-, Cl and others to synthesize Sodium Hypochlorite
- An aqueous solution of Sodium Hypochlorite is just bleach
Spraygenic™ uses our proprietary process starting with Hydrochloric Acid, HCl, and electrolysis with industrial-grade equipment. This produces our Spraygenic™ HOCl, free of salt and bleach, Spraygenic™ is a safe and soothing formula for the skin.
